
Tales From The Pit: John Miller on Getting into NY Pit Playing
January 12, 2011When I run across pages with interviews about being a pit musician, I try and pass them along. This page is terrific and sobering if you’re trying to get into the Pit business at the top level. Long, but great. (warning: there’s a little language here and there)

Interesting. The main points seem to be, know how to do your job, be reliable, and don’t be an asshole. Pretty much the same rules as any other line of work.
John Miller is always a great mentor, and a great story-teller, for those interested in theatre gigs. He’s a real gift to the theatre community in NYC.
